Launching Optics Ranch was the culmination of nearly 30 years in the world of creativity. Serving as a “general contractor”, I have partnered with other professionals who specialize in photography, web design, printing services, graphic design and business communication to offer customers a full spectrum of marketing services to fit all budgets.
I’m a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in Animal Science emphasizing Livestock Merchandising. Early in my career I spent several years writing and editing in the newspaper business, working as a sports editor for my hometown paper, then taking a position as a managing editor at another publication. I then served as editor for the Homestretch Magazine, a publication of the Oklahoma Thoroughbred Association. In 1998, I joined the Lazy E Ranch organization where I’ve worn many hats over the last 20 years, from customer service and public relations to web and print design and social media marketing. I also spent a year working for the American Quarter Horse Association in race marketing.
This history within the equine industry has given me an opportunity to build my most valued business asset — a network of contacts that I’m lucky enough to consider an extended circle of friends.
Growing up in rural Oklahoma, I was active in sports and showed cattle as member of the FFA. I now live in Edmond, Oklahoma, with my family and we enjoy shooting sports, lake life and the horse racing world.
